EdWise Financial Planning Guide - A useful tool that helps students take charge of the borrowing process by determining how much to borrow and when to pay it back. Students and parents gain clear, concise budgeting information that enables them to efficiently manage finances. Enter the appropriate information, and EdWise will do the calculating. Just go to their website at http://www.edwise.org/.

Hope Scholarship and Lifetime Learning Credits - For tax information go to http://www.irs.gov/individuals/students/


Stafford Student Loan Exit Counseling - For entrance and exit interviews visit www.mapping-your-future.org website. This website is also for information on career planning, college selection and financial aid.


Financial Aid Information Page - This is a free, comprehensive, objective, and independent guide to student financial aid resources, including scholarships, sponsored by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. This service includes the following:

  • Advice on identifying scholarship scams and a list of suspicious scholarship searches;
  • Ask the Aid Advisor: a service in which professionals in financial aid have volunteered to answer questions submitted by students and parents;
  • EFC Estimator: an online calculator that computes an estimate of the students' expected family contribution and financial need at www.finaid.org.
